Terms of Service

Welcome to EZCartCare. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EZCartCare web application and related services. By creating an account or using EZCartCare, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Use of the Service
EZCartCare provides a golf cart maintenance tracking and reminder service. You agree to:
- Use EZCartCare only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and using the service.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
- Not use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with other users.
2. Accounts and Subscriptions
Access to most features requires a paid subscription. Plans are billed on a monthly basis via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. EZCartCare does not store credit card information — all payment data is held by Stripe under their security and compliance standards.
We offer a free trial period for new accounts. Trial length and terms are displayed at registration. When a trial ends and no payment method is on file, access to paid features is suspended until a valid subscription is established.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a manner harmful to other users or the platform.
3. SMS Text Message Notifications
3.1 Consent to Receive SMS Messages
By completing the SMS opt-in process, you expressly consent to receive automated transactional text messages from EZCartCare at the mobile phone number you provide. These messages are limited to maintenance reminder notifications for the golf carts in your account.
3.2 How to Opt In
SMS notifications require all three of the following steps to be completed within your EZCartCare account:
- 1. Add a mobile number – Enter a valid U.S. mobile phone number in your Profile settings.
- 2. Verify the number – Request a one-time 6-digit verification code by clicking "Send Verification Code" on your Profile page. Enter the code to confirm you own the number. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes.
- 3. Enable SMS reminders – Go to Notification Preferences and check "Enable SMS maintenance reminders." You may also choose your preferred lead time (1 day, 3 days, 1 week, or 2 weeks before a due date).
SMS messaging is only available on subscription plans that include it. If your plan does not include SMS, the opt-in option will not be presented.
3.3 Message Content and Frequency
If you opt in, you will receive text message reminders when a maintenance item on your golf cart approaches its due date, based on the lead time you select. Messages include the item name, cart name, and due date. A single summary message is sent per day per account when items are due. We do not send promotional, marketing, or third-party SMS messages.

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details. For help, reply HELP to any message.
3.4 How to Opt Out
You may withdraw your consent and stop receiving SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any SMS message you receive from EZCartCare. This immediately unsubscribes your number and no further messages will be sent.
- In-app setting: Visit Notification Preferences and uncheck "Enable SMS maintenance reminders." The change takes effect immediately.
- Remove your phone number: Delete your mobile number from Profile settings, which also disables SMS notifications.
After opting out, you will not receive further SMS messages from EZCartCare unless you choose to opt back in by repeating the opt-in steps above.
3.5 Changing Your Phone Number
If you update your phone number in Profile settings, your previous number is automatically unverified and SMS notifications are paused. You must re-verify the new number and confirm your SMS opt-in for messages to resume.
3.6 SMS Provider
SMS messages are sent through Twilio, Inc. By providing a mobile number and opting in, you acknowledge that your phone number and message content will be transmitted to Twilio solely for message delivery. Twilio's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
4. Email Notifications
Email maintenance reminders may be enabled or disabled at any time from your Notification Preferences page. Transactional account emails (such as password resets and billing notices) are sent regardless of notification preferences, as they are necessary for account operation.
5. Intellectual Property
EZCartCare and its content, features, and functionality are owned by EZCartCare and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without our express written permission.
Your maintenance data and content remain yours. You grant EZCartCare a limited license to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
EZCartCare is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Maintenance schedules and reminders provided by the service are suggestions based on information you enter; always consult your golf cart manufacturer's guidelines for authoritative maintenance requirements.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EZCartCare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the service, including any missed maintenance reminders or incorrect scheduling data.
8. Privacy
Your use of EZCartCare is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully, particularly the sections on phone number collection and SMS messaging.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of EZCartCare after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
